firestone in milpitas

firestone in milpitas

anyone have experience with them? i'm going there in an hour for an alignment.

scratch that, i drove the 5 miles to their shop from my office and they took my key and everything. 15 minutes later, the shop manager comes to me and says "yeah we use these metal hooks to hold the tires in place during the alignment and i want you to know that." so i ask him if that will cause damage to the wheels, and he said, "yeah it's likely they will leave some marks, so i don't feel comfortable servicing your vehicle."

freakin wasted my time but at least he was honest. funny thing is, i saw a twilight blue coupe sitting in the lot! that person's car was dirrrrty and the wheels were alread dinged up a bit.

anyway i said screw it and i've got an appt with auto innovations in milpitas. i should have just gone there to begin with!

they do alignments at auto innovations? i get my tires there.

Good luck with them. I took the morning off from work and drove all the way out there and they "overbooked" my appointment.

I had alignment done by Firestone in Fremont back in 04 after they mounted my GT-7s, had no issues with the hook thingin didnt think they were used and it cost 79.99.

i've gotten 4-5 alignments by firestone and no scratches on the wheels. (i got a lifetime alignment)

got my alignment done this morning @ auto innovations. they did a good job. i'll be posting #'s, pics, etc after the dyno day tomorrow. i still haven't taken any pics after i dropped it
