Anyone had their tranny replaced at Infiniti of Kirkland?

Hello! I took my g into infiniti of kirkland because it was grinding in 3rd gear. They say they will replace the tranny but the clutch/flywheel needs replacing for 1700 dollars. I have heard that some people had all 3 of these replaced under warranty? Anyone have experience with Kirkland on this matter? Thank you please help! My cars still there i need to let them know what to do lol.

Well, I have not. But I do know they like to add as much stuff as they can to pad their bottom line. But the odd thing is this. $1700 is alot but let's say it's ballpark if you JUST needed a clutch/disc/throwout bearing. This amount would cover the removal/install of the tranny. Now as you know, the tranny is coming out ANYWAY. So the labor for removal/install is covered within the warranty. IMHO they are double dipping the tranny labor on ya. Once the tranny is out, the labor to do a clutch job is minimal at most.
I would maybe call another dealer or call their parts dept. Get a quote for a new oem clutch/disc/throwout bearing. Then compare the diff in price. It's probably a $1200 difference. You figure maybe $200 of this is for actual labor for the clutch parts. The rest $1000 is what they are trying to double dip you for.
You could also ask them how much is a clutch job if you weren't having tranny work done at the same time. Or again, call the dealer and ask. But don't tell them who you are. This will also help you see how they are trying to rip you

How many miles? The dealer really doesn't have alot of say on warranty issues, call Infiniti directly and stir up the ****..........

Bummer. I'm worried about my clutch going out in a year or so as well. It's getting noisier every month.
