This time i took off those door bumpers and went wingless

soooo... maybe i'm retarded (quite possibly) but what are the door bumpers/moldings? are the those trips at the bottom of the doors that always have the ends chipped off?

ok i get it now. i've only seen a couple cars with the rub strips on them, and i don't think ever in person.
