Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
Spokane is a bit out of the way :P
Although the two are owned by the same people, the sales and service manager may be better in Fife than in Kirkland. I've had an oil change in Kirkland and didn't have any problems. When I went there looking to buy a coupe they treated me pretty good (I'm 30), but they wouldn't deal on price so I bought from Grubbs.

xsw10931 and avs007 - How was your experience buying from Grubbs? Could you answer a few questions for me?
1) Did you have to do much negotiating with them, or did they have a set price and there wasn't much bargaining to be done?
2) How much under MSRP did you get your car for?
3) Did they have just what you wanted in stock or did you have to order the car?
4) How much was the delivery fee?
5) Does the car get delivered right to your door? Was there any damage or anything that you needed to report to Grubbs?
6) Was there anything about the experience of buying a car this way that made you wish you could have walked into a dealership and bought one in the traditional manner instead?
Thanks!

1.) You part of FreshAlloy?
2.) Same as above. Let's just say that even with shipping, it was bunches cheaper than Beaverton Infiniti.
3.) They had something like 100 coupes in stock. So yes, they had just what I wanted. Several in fact.
4.) At the time I paid $600 for shipping. I think right now it's 800 because of increased fuel costs.
5.) Was delivered right to my drive way
6.) No... Makes me want to buy all my cars this way
I have no problems with Grubbs, they are great.

Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
I live in Portland and purchased from Kirkland. At the time (February of 2003), Beaverton would not let me buy a coupe without the second sticker. Kirkland did not push the paint crap on me and walked out of their proudly paying MSRP. The way I look at it, even at MSRP (for 6-speed) it was still a great deal. Good luck!!!

Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
1. I qualify for real VPP, so there is no negotiating from either party, it's a set price by Infiniti/Nissan.
2. It ended up saving me about $3k
3. Originally I didn't want the premium package, but they didn't have one without so I had to order, but they had one coming in sooner with the same color with premium, so I opted for the premium. Since I knew I was going to rip out the Bose system anyways, it didn't make much sense for me, but the other premium benefits are nice (but not necessary).
4. real VPP got free shipping
5. right to my door, no damage although I asked them about it before it was delievered and they basically said that if there was any noticeable damage, I could take it to a local body shop to get it fixed and they (or rather the shipping company) would pay for it
6. if Kirkland gave me VPP on the coupe, I would have bought locally just so I didn't have to wait for delivery since I have to pay taxes regardless

Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
I considered buying my G35 6mt from them and did a test drive with them. They seemed nice enough but didn't act as if they really wanted my business and didn't make much of an offer. They didn't have much of an inventory either. I ended up getting the car (exact color and options) from Grubbs in Texas and saved about $1,500. It was pretty painless and the car showed up at my doorstep. The salesman I delt with was Mike Rabbass.
Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
Before I purchased my G35, I had shopped at Beaverton Infiniti. The salesperson was Mitch, I think. He was really helpful and knew what he was talking about. I found out that Beaverton didn't budge price on Coupes and had a second sticker that they're famous for. Even if you called dealerships in Washington, they'll still stay on MSRP. However, I did start emailing to Internet Salesmanagers(they're easier to haggle with), they did offer a few hundred off MSRP. After bargaining with a few emails, we managed to knock $500 off a 2004 Blk/Blk Coupe 6MT Premium Package with splashguard and trunk mat. The total price for everything was $35,500. I didn't get the hundred dollar wheel locks, because I bought those at Les Schwab later for 20 dollars.
As far as the rusting problems goes, I believe as long at you don't live near the ocean(because of the strong salt content), your paint and underbody shouldn't have any problems with rusting. If you do live by the sea, I'd recommand washing and waxing regularly.
Normal maintance can be performed at a Nissan dealership no problem, just make sure you ask for a tech that's been certified by Nissan. However, any warranty work has to be done at an Infiniti dealership unless your state lacks one(so I've been told by the salesmanager I bought my G from).
Anyways, back to the story. I just picked up my G from Infiniti of Fife last month (Sept, 2004). Didn't really mind driving from Corvallis to pick up that car and save about $2000 compared to buying it from Beaverton.
On the performance of my car, it's unbelievable. Anyone from the valley area should try doing the Mary's Peak run near Philomath. Great uphill and downhill run for people like me.

PS: This is one of the best websites I've found on for G35s, and most posting for Oregonians.

Re: Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon
Hi dent20 and everyone else who loves the Infiniti brand like I do.
Thank you dent20, for telling everyone that I was courteous to you and that I know what I'm doing when it comes to talking about the cars I sell. I try and do my homework.
To bad you didn't contact me ,so I could of saved you the drive into Fife.
Remember everyone, don't short cut your maintanence, as a long time car nut, I have always found my cars last a lot longer and with fewer problems, if I use the best products. And for people who are my customers I go the extra mile to get you a price break on parts and accessories.
Buying your cars locally can be a much better experience than Internet shopping, all you need is the right salesman and a realistic approach to buying.
Enjoy your cars, I do everyday,
Mitch@Beaverton Infiniti
