Ok, so another update...

the turbo is back in, they have tried all the tricks to eliminate the smoking but it still is pumping blueish white smoke out while driving and under boost. They have double checked everything and are certain it is the turbo once again. So the next step is talking with Turbonectics to see what they are going to do about it.

As for the suspension set up, the camber kit brought the car's specs back in front (where it was said the Toe was so out of wack it didnt measure on the equipment) and the rears are within -.5 degress of stock (-1.5). The car handled amazingly today and just the way the car sits on its new rims...looks great! As Arnab said, there wasnt a need for rolling the fenders as far as I could tell today. There seemed to be plenty of clearence for the new tires.

more to come...

Today they decided to pull the turbo once again. They are going to talk to TB HQ about it, forcing a lemon law (as corey put it) or work with the price of a new turbo with the credit of the rebuild...or something like that. They are tired of dealing with it, as I am with it taking of valuable time and shop space. There are several other avenues that could be causing it...but I dont want to go there just yet. Not until I have uber chedder saved for a motor build and a garrett turbo! well, maybe. :-)

There are a few STS set ups in the National Community...I actually looked into them first before the deal came. I would like to salvage this set up because it is compact. The turbo has been replaced by a few other guys in the forum I read. I dont mind replacing it with a Garrett, but I would like to see if Turbonectics will honor their equipment and rebuild work first.

Latest update!!!

The turbo has been pulled again. Still leaking oil. The car was hooked up N/A once again and driven hard by kirko and no hint of smoke.

Corey called turbonectics and dropped the hammer and got the manager. He is personally taking responsibility to handle this and is stamping a garuntee on it. If it still leaks afterwords, I will be getting a new turbo.

So its out once again for the next three weeks or so...
