After the positive result on the bumper....here is the $600 worth of paint to do the rest of the car...

repainting the car the same color? what is wrong with the paint on it now?

The paint currently on the car has a lot of issues.

-Whole front end is chipped all to hell, hood and fenders included.
-Leading edge of rear quarters is all chipped
-Both doors have what look like half assed key marks down the sides.
-Driver front and passenger rear quarters look like something was bumped (all scratched).
-Drivers C pillar has a dent and chip from a wine fridge (dont ask)
-Clear is gone on rear view mirrors and rear spoiler
-Clear is peeling on rear bumper

I am pretty sure the previous owner frequently traveled on gravel roads...the car has an abnormal amount of chips in it.

nah, my LR was chipped when I got it, and chipped worse than any other car I've ever owned. I think the LR is more brittle or something...

Did a lot of work today guys, In about 8 hours, prepped and painted sides and trunk. Here are some results.

Clouds....faded spoiler didnt do that before..

Finished sideskirts.

Painted parts pile, not putting these parts back on until the project is closer to completion.

Ha yeah, that was a project I took on a year and a half ago..I am still real happy with it
