I also have the SD900 as my normal everyday point and shoot, but it really is nothing compared to my Canon 5D. However for what it is, the SD900 is a very capable PS and the best PS I've owned yet.

 

if your bf spent the money on an SLR then he should know that he needs photoshop or some kind of advanced editing software and it would really help to get a graphic tablet. those give unimaginable control and creativity with post-editing pictures.

that is a cool feature though. my rebel xt slr doesnt do that, but as stated those kind of things take me about 1 minute in PS to do.

 

cool feature but my D80 doesn't do that. PS is useful tho.

I had the SD500 before, so to the best of my memory you have to:
1) go under the manual picture taking option (the little camera with the red M next to it)
2) go to the menu and select the "my colors" option, then go a few options down and pick the one that has the little bell looking thing with a little A in the lower right corner.
