i wouldn't worry about it too much man, just keep an eye on it.

 

Just had the plenum painted (thanks R1Forever80), added the RHD battery cover and had them painted, added the strut bar, and installed the NRG Hood Dampers.. Did an engine bay clean today...

paint the lower collector, spacer, Timing cover same color

 

I was thinking of doing a polished Timing cover (my other cover) and SxExCx suggested purple cam covers.. So I'll prolly do that to tie the colors together.

Lower collector and spacer might be a good idea too though..

I would like to know for those that have a polish plenum do you put something on it(clear coat)or you leave it like that and repolish it few time a month and what kind of paint do I need to paint my valve cover?

^ none of the plenums I have ever done (200+) have ever been clear coated. It doesnt require much upkeep. Just blow the dust off and wipe it down with detail spray every time you wash the car...5 minutes tops.

I didn't clearcoat mine and its held up fine for about 6 months now. Here's an updated pic of my bay. Still super dirty lol.

hey what sizes and specs are the bolts for the upper plenum? i wanna get blue washers and need new bolts but not sure about the size since i don't have a thread pitch gauge
