It looks like some are going through a lot of work to "tuck" the main engine harness. Why not tuck it behind the motor where it's less visible? It's a little bit more work but I think the results are worth it. Additionally, dont' the fuel rails get pretty hot? I've seen several pics where the main harness is run very close to those rails. It wouldn't be pretty if the split loom melted away and the wires got BBQ'd.

Hey K67 (sorry, forgot your name ) does the tuck behind the engine also involve cutting/sodering the wires as well? I did a similar tuck as shown in the pic above and have also seen the tuck next to the fuel rails as you have just described. Basically, I'm looking to tuck without having to cut if possible.

Tucking behind the engine requires some minor extending/rerouting of wires (mainly ground wires and coil pack wires). If you see pics of the cleanest VQ engine bays, you'll see that the wiring in and around the coil packs and injectors has been cleaned up (extended/rerouted/sleeved). It's more of an issue with aftermarket plenums like Cosworth or Kinetix SSV but can still make a difference with an OEM plenum. Just be careful not to mess with the wiring for the TB or the MAF. Those wires are shielded and do not take kindly to being cut.
