Now that you have the Rebel XTi you should look into a nifty fifty (50mm) lens. That is my next one. It's just a great all around lens and you get get it for pretty cheap for the 1.8 (as far as lenses go). Also if you intend on doing car shots get a polarizer filter too. photography-on-the.net has a ton of info in the forums, so just look around and see what people are using to help you decide what lens should be next.

it's relatively cheap. actually, it's dirt cheap compared to the rest of the lenses. so it's not a big deal. but i'll hit you up for those sites later. Originally Posted by skaterbasist

it took me about 2 months to max out the performance on my 18-55 kit lens... the 50mm f1.8 is only a $75 and is great for the price especially since it's not a zoom lens and you get different practice with the camera from a different perspective. I've had my camera for about 6 months and i'm already ready to get the Tokina 12-24mm and the canon 85mm. I will also be getting the, as they call it "nifty fifty" just to have some fun with.Originally Posted by skaterbasist

Cal, most lenses I see usually start no less than 250, so I assumed you were going for something that expensive.
