looks good..but you should play with smaller aperture so you get that focused look. But they are definitely good pictures.

Are you using a tripod? thats always a good investment to make sure your pics are ultra sharp, especially for night pics when you get to that.

most shots, yes. in some shots, i couldn't as i was climbing up the hill and had no where to set it. i have a generic $15 tripod from bestbuy. i have yet to find reason to spend any more on a tripod.

Is it a mini or a full? Circuit City sells a pretty decent full sized one by samsonite for $25. I just picked it up a few weeks ago. circuit city

You will need a lens with a larger aperture to help reduce the graininess under low lighting conditions. When I pick up my DSLR later on (still debating on Canon Rebel XTi or Nikon D80), I'm planning on picking up a standard 50mm f/1.8 lens to play with. It's fairly inexpensive and it's got a large aperture to allow for more natural lighting. Hoping this will work out for car photography.

When will this be as I'm in need of some ASAP, and would prefer the C/F ones. Can I get some like this week do you know? Do they hold the hood up well? I only ask cause in this pic,

you still use your stock prop. Any cutting? Are you aware if these will work on a C/F hood too? Last question... These aren't the NRG ones are they, from that GB posted a while ago that ended up being a flop?

yes, these are the NRG ones. i'm not sure when randy will be holding the GB for these. however, people have already begun to order them from him. i have the chrome ones shown, but he has them in cf for a little more money.

in the pic, i use the stock hood prop to show the difference between the hood dampers and stock hood prop.

there is VERY minimal cutting required for these to fit. using a file or dremel, you need to cut part of the battery cover. with the hood dampers installed, you can't really see the hole at all.

as far as working w/ cf hoods, no. they are not meant to work with cf hoods as they have too much pressure. however, these exact same models have been put on two 350z's with stillen cf hoods and there have been no problems thus far.

go to this thread for my review:
