extra oem muffler/emblems, rattle cans, and nothing else to do

As some of you may know, I am slowly parting out my car and going back to stock. I have an extra OEM muffler lying around, so I figured I'd experiment. I can't go back to stock without some minor modifications.

Now I'm having trouble deciding what color I wanna paint the tips. I'm leaning toward semi-gloss black. Although I think most people will vote for gunmetal as black would hide the tips too much. But that's kinda what I like. Shown below is a picture of my rear end.

Semi-gloss Black

Gunmetal

Gunmetal, Chrome, Black Chrome

why are you going back to stock ?

when I put on my OEM exhaust back on I spraypainted the muffler part flat black and it looks almost invisible when you look at the rear of the car, I left the tips chrome though.
Yours looks good

Nice! I've been wanting to do this, but had no real reason to until now because I'm going back to stock. Do you have any pictures?

I love my HKS, and I'm really going to miss it. From the beautiful purr to the aggressive angled canisters and burnt titanium tips. I'll probably regret losing it on some days.

I'm not sure how its going to look with the diffuser overlay, not going to be enough contrast IMO.

I'll take some pictures later.. let me tell you what's the worse thing about painting them... the dirt burns into the paint.. only way to make it look good is to constently paint them

those emblems look nice! i like the gunmetal and black one for the emblems and the gloss black looks good for the tip..but like redlude said, it might not contrast well since you got the diffuser

That's sort of the point.

flat black muffler, semi-gloss black tips, matte black rear valence overlay

There's a scheme here.
