I'm gonna keep my opinion to myself for now but will say this.

Man, there are some ugly rides in this thread!

First off..the person who said there is only 1 thing wrong with that yellow sedan should be slapped. Maybe it's his age or his location or bad taste or a combination of all. I dunno.

We all have opinion on modding. Some are different than others. My IDEAL modded car is a car that can look good at shows without going over the top, can be street driven, AND perform at the track and able to cruise the canyons. Having a car that meets all of those categories is getting rarer by the year. To me, modding a car with style, drive ability, track worthyness, and street cruisability would win my vote any day over a car that is strictly a parking lot only modded car.

Bridge the gap between performance and style and you have a winner in my books. I could car less about the "flare" to make up for performance.

That gap is getting more rare by the popularity of static car events which prevents the demand for race tracks and motorsport events to arise.

Maybe it's the lack of technical output or research these days as car magazines no longer focus on the technical aspects of modding and more into style only. RIP Sport Compact Car.

I know I got off topic, but I've seen a lot of major neg camber to make up for overly wide wheels. Some of it's just getting flat out ridiculous.

I really don't mind stickers as long it's not over the top. I'm also not a fan of "sticker bombing" either to cover up scratched front end from being too low. I also don't believe in being a rolling billboard either. I know all of these stickers are supporting a "lifestyle", but if it's geared toward a "lifestyle or "movement", shouldn't the stickers be free or a lot cheaper? I know these guys are making a KILLING on selling stickers.

Maybe I just started out in a different era when performance was key in the mid 90's in Cali.

Here is something that gets my attention.

It may not have the best stance, not the lowest, but it's built, can be driven on the street, at the track, to a show and even on a rally from LA to SF to Vegas. Stickers are obviously legitimately sponsored. This is my ideal modded car.

The reality is...If I dump a bone stock G, add low offset Volk replica's, get a front end, and slap on some stickers sideways, it would get more "props".

I know you've all see it. My ideal modded car. Yeah, it's a track car hence the wing if your wondering.

From the 2nd post on, that thread starts to pretty much define VIP for the most part.
I appreciate the link. The transformation seems to have been a lot of work.. so I should take away from this that.... VIP= Lowered Sedan

Yeah. I saw that pic of the rim and the tire didn't cover the whole rim. That looks like something a "lowrider" would have done to his "ramfla with Daytons" The curtains and stripper pole is cool as hell.
