Thanks G Thizzle.

I got some ideas goin on and I'm set on one of them. Since I went with a custom front, I'm going with a custom rear. Not going to say what, but I will say that it's not coming from a G35 or G37, coupe or sedan

Sides will probably end up being custom as well.

I'm baaaaaaack

Not gonna go with the Strafe rear...although I would modify if it would fit properly..maybe someone that has purchased the rear can chime in on how it fits and if it needed modification for fitment. The rear of the 2nd gen G35 with the Autokit-X diffuser looks good.

Won't start on that for a some time though. Right now I'm focusing on my audio setup and some sound deadening. Already did two layers on my roof. I think I'm gonna swap the gray headliner with black. No suede though. I am also going to install fiber optic lighting in the headliner. Not really going to do a starlight thing, but more of what you may find in a limousine. Don't know when I'll start that, but I know when I do it'll probably be a costly project.

Don't get the wrong idea though. I'm NOT doing it like the RR Phantom coupe headliner...that's just got waaaaaay too many fiber optics. I'm just keeping it simple.

Updates: Installed deadener on roof.

Copy and pasting from my build log on an audio forum. Started on Thursday, continued and finished on Friday.

Started deadening the roof today. My gosh it was a pain in the rear. I got the headliner off without much trouble, but getting it out of the car was another story. Didn't get it out till I stopped doing some work and a friend came over and helped me out. Thanks Robby

Anyway, majority of the roof is done. Just need to finish up the driver side in the rear and do the front a little. Hopefully I'll have enough for my trunk, but I don't think I'll have anything left for my doors. Using a shop pack already. BTW, I'm using two layers and I'll be finishing this up tomorrow.

Here's some before and in progress videos of the difference.

Before:

In Progress:

I have plans for the headliner, might do them black, but then my pillars won't match. Not doing suede, I don't like it. But I do have some neat ideas. Some may say it's tacky but I think it'll fit the look of my car quite well. I'll be putting fiber optic lights like you would see on the roof a limousine.

Roof is completed with 2 layers. Here are some pics...

Thanks guys. Headliner won't be for a while. I'm sure the fiber optic lights will cost quite a bit. Some guy did it on his car with the whole starlight look and I believe he used like 4,000 ft of fiber optic wires...waaay more than I need.

Question though, think I should stick to one color one that changes? If I stick with one color it would be like bright white. Probably be about $1 or less, maybe $2 or less per ft. No idea how much I would need though.
