New iPhone Mount, or non-navi aftermarket upgrade
Well, I really hate suction cup mounts, and vent holders for phones and GPS units, and my G is fully loaded minus Navi, so I started with this little mod.
This is one half of a Griffin slider case for iPhone, which has a shell that comes in two parts. You can use any slider case of course for your brand of phone.
It is simply mounted with a foam double-sided tape. It has all the grip you need to stay in place and can still be removed easily if needed without leaving a mess behind.
The phone slides in sideways and folds in to its stealth compartment with ease.
I like the placement as it sits right at eye level.
Slider mounted
Infiniti start up screen
more random pics...
This almost looks OEM...
Clock of the Rising G
Bezel Match
Cell Mount Number Two: This flexible gooseneck mount is made by Arkon for iPhone, but they have models specific to other phones (check eBay).
The base bolts to the seat bolt on the floor. If you don't want to mount your phone it in your 'cubby' this is a classy addition in my opinion.
This is a great mount, as you can bend it - twist it - any way you want it. Upright, sideways. The point is, it's not 'fixed'. It's positioning is endless.

So basically you did the opposite of this thread, because I hate the idea of blocking a vent. It does look like a quality product though.

Alternatively, you can stick one of those plastic flowers in there like a VW and the crackheads will walk right on by.
