I saw this one in person in Abu Dhabi a few years ago. It's sick looking. They say it is coated in silver.

Call Gary Watson @ Creations n' Chrome... he's the guy I mentioned that does the chrome plating... the equipment and process is not a typical "chrome plating" application - its actually sprayed on.

He was referred by Coast Airbrush in Anaheim... they deal with all kinds of specialty stuff...

Anyway - Creations n' Chrome website is: http://www.creationsnchrome.com/about.html

Talk with Gary - he's a real nice guy and can explain the process to you...

One day I hope to be able to have him Black Chrome a car for me... something like a Bentley GT or an LF-A... we'll see...

Thats what I mean, the OP mentioned it being whitegold. I know all about spray chrome. what Im saying is, how do you use whitegold to plate plastic.

retrofitters would love a specialty chrome place that doesnt charge too much for all the one off creations.

I would imagine the same technique would be used as the chrome...

If anyone knows it would be Gary Watson... if you're really curious you might want to give him a call... there arent many people that do that type of process...

That's old news that has been used industrially for a looong time. That chrome plastic razor you have, along with many other plastics that are chrome... are all painted.

There's a new(er) "Metalizing" process out there to actually coat plastics with metals... It's a spray on chrome treatment, so you can actually chrome anything now, and it's not a chrome colored paint.

I know they say it's white gold, but I still doubt it. I think it's just a tinted Spectra Chrome finish. Who's to know the difference?
