For all the bolts that are being replaced in the engine bay, the stainless bolts are more than strong enough. These bolts are not holding the main caps, not used to torque down the heads, and not holding the suspension together... they're all under very little torque, and without them being over-torqued, or improperly installed/cross threaded, there is very little chance of failure.

Anyhow, bump for some great work and nice looking bays!

+1000 on what Zack said. For what we are using SS bolts for they are more than strong enough. Many of us have been using SS bolts in our engine bays for years Law with no issues, you know that.

Actually when I was looking at bolts I came up with beware of getting loose. That is why I went with different bolts. I would have liked to keep my cost down but a sense of security is worth more sometimes. It was posted not as a diss but as a FYI...get beyond the drama!!!!!

$2 worth of Loctite + stainless bolts = no problems

so where can i find some allen head bolts for the upper plenum, i've been to every automotive store in my area and some 60 miles away....home depot has what i am looking for but the guy there recommended that i not use them for anything in my engine bay, i need the 6 right in the middle of the plenum 3 in the back are longer than the 3 in the front, but i want to be able to use my colored washers that i have already replaced some of the 10mm bolts with
