then you have to find someone to weld an aluminum bung (the right size) in the side of the radiator making sure that they do that right.. sketchy cuz if for some reason it doesn't go as planned the radiator may be screwed up..

then.. get the proper AN fittings ... and hoses...

then... you have to have someone that knows what the hell they're doin,...lol

. as for raw parts.. about $300ish..

then comes time, HOURS and HOURS, gas, coordinating and labor costs... so.. it's a lot of headache if you ask me.. i had no idea... lol
$1,500 is very high. Granted, you'll have to do most of the work yourself (which is the fun part ), but you can do it for less, particularly if you're not replacing the radiator (fans aren't necessary either for this mod).

U are right. Fans or a fan shroud are not required for this mod but..... A radiator is, and if you replace it with an aftermarket one, you mind as well get the fan shroud since you will end up wishing you did anyway.. Save $$$ in the long run. Time and sourcing out parts and waiting for parts to become available were the worst part of this mod..

Took a TOTAL of 10 hrs to complete this once everything was ready.. Actually a few hours from a second hand as well. If u are unable to do this mod yourself. THE RRYDE team and Randy are the shizzle..

This mod is definitely not a beginner mod nor is just replacing coolant pipes and radiator hoses and the radiator. In my case, I ran into several issues..

For the power steering hoses since they are high pressure line, do we need to get special braided hoses for thoose or will normal hoses like the one below do?

That will work for the return lines, you need teflon hoses with braided exterior similiar to brake hoses for high pressure side.

Power steering will see #1600 on high pressure side (Pump discharge to steering rack).

Z1 makes really nice, super strong silicone PS hoses that are direct replacements for OEM. The price is very reasonable too.

The two hoses that i will be replacing is the one from the power steering tank to the oil cooler, and the one thats comming back from the cooler and connects to somewhere in the bay. Im assuming its safe for these?

The caps are hard to find but they are out there.
Those Samco pipe caps are "special order" items usually straight from factory

The rubber hose will work for your application.

Oil cooler hose connects to hard pipe (steering rack return line) on passenger side inside frame rail near engine mount.

No solely an engine bay mod, but I'll share this here.

Visited RRYDE alley today to install my Z33 ARC Oil Cooler. Big thanks for Alf for help with polishing the cooler and Randy for getting the oil filter relocation bracket and oil cooler brackets chromed, polishng the AN fitttings and installing the cooler.

Before (I stripped the fittings with Easy Off and lots of sanding, about 8 hours of work!) and after (Randy polished them)

Randy doin' work

Replaced ARC sticker with ARC badge

Oil filter relocation kit that comes with cooler. All hardware chromed and polished

Polished ARC cooler

With bumper off

Car back together
