Just yank them. I've had mine in for 4 years and took them out yesterday and noticed no difference what so ever while driving, so not needed.

For looks or to say we have them. It's like a plenum spacer when that's the only mod one gets. Soon as it's installed their but dyno SWEARS the car is so much faster when in reality to HP gains are minimal at best and sure as hell aren't enough to feel them.

alfhasg35, when was the last time you hear of a G having an electrical short because they didn't have grounding wires?

well.. i don't know too many g's that don't have grounding wires.. maybe yours will be the first..

grounding wires are for protection.. let them be for your house, computer, cars, etc..

never but maybe because nobody wanted to take the risk of shorting something out.

I've never heard of someone installing these in hopes of preventing a short, it just doesn't happen. It's supposedly to help shifts, especially in autos though I don't remember the reasoning because everyone seems to have different answer as to why they are being used just confirming to me they are so not needed when you can't even get people to agree as to why they are used. I've had them off for severals days now and the car drives and feels exactly the same as it always does.

the manufacturer installs them .. fatter nicer grounding kits supposedly make for a smoother ride and quicker shifts..

It's probably not good to take them off completely.. There not there for looks..

but it's your car.. and if you think it looks cool without em. more power to you..

let's talk more about how RRYDE's engine bays are bad ****..

you're completely misunderstanding the actual question...

He wasn't asking about after-market ground wires... he's referring to the OEM ground wires on the timing cover (the little thin ones).

Please don't say you know that's what he meant - because that would make all your recent posts complete nonsense (which could be debatable anyway).

Yup, I thought he was talking about after market ones.
