STAGE 4: Phase 3 '"Cage work and a little tube chassis work"'

Okay it is that time again folks. Let's start it off right with some damn good beer. Beer of choice is Maui Brewing Co. 'CoCoNut Porter,' and damn this is a really good beer, brewed with 6 varieties of malted barley, hops and hand-toasted coconut. Def a good beer..

BAM!!!! look at my new jungle gym... Russell has out done himself with this cage and I just love it..

Have to have some good door bars, cause you never know what can happen..

Since I have these door bars, you can say good by to my door panels.. Going to replace with some Carbon Fiber love.

Love it..

The view from the back is what got me. It just looks so intense

Damn sexy!!

Russell really has done a good job with this cage and front tube chassis I would recommend him any day of the week..

Next on the cage is pretty much doing the base plates and the front part but looks good now...

Damn that is money!!!!

I was really glad that the door bars came out good. Was scared my big *** would not fit... but its all good..

Looking good

plenty of room...

Back to the front,, looks good all put together. This is not my hood but pretty close to hit, I will have the 07 TS hood in its place.. but looks good so far..

Close up of the Ducting that Russell did, looks clean.. Now should I keep that ducting Silver or paint it??

Close up of the bumper brackets,, Look at that sexy weld...

Welded up my other -20AN fitting

Clearance looks good..

Clearance looks spot on.. this is where my PS cooler is going to go..

Looking good, we still have to do the Plywood splitter so it will look pretty good with that installed.. Can't wait

Before I left I spotted this big *** turbo in a Civic pushing somewhere around 1000HP+ so crazy..

Also found Russell WRX on the dyno getting ready for this weekend Lone Star Drift series.. **** is a monster...

If you guys would like work done by Russell hit him up on his fabricated Facebook Page: HERE

Next I will have some totals up, cause some parts have come in.

NEXT WEEK: STAGE 4: Phase 4 '"Cage work and some part love"'

Will do on the clutch lines we are testing them out and putting it through its paces as you can tell. Be ready for the sloppy crappy sikky short shifter :/ Im sure you know we make power steering kits with coolers that are tons smaller than that spot you have! In more exciting news go-autoworks its getting with me to make a bolt on single and twin turbo kits for this swap with out notching frame rails or modding anything.

STAGE 4: Phase 4 '"Cage work and some part love"'

Beer of choice this week is Stone Brewery: 'Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale'. I personally love almost anything from Stone Brewery so kind of bias when it comes to them.. But this beer is really good, has a strong bitter taste, so be prepared.

So I got some new stuff the other day that I am really stoked about. First is this sexy *** ASD Hydo E-Brake that I am going to be using. ASD attention to detail is just on another level in my opinion.

I mean just look at the handle itself, Man so sick

Comes with fittings already installed just need to run lines, which is perfect timing cause we are redoing all my brake lines..

Next was my power steering cooler. I did not need nothing big cause the KRC pump really does a good job. So this would work perfect.

Also got it with the fittings so I could run all my AN lines to it.

Next up is my sick custom built Radiator from Ron Davis Radiators.. When i came by he already had it installed so I could not get any out of the car shots..

Ron Davis makes some sick radiators, you can get a custom built one or one that is already made for your application. I went with the custom route.

Double pass radiator with custom -20AN fittings. Oh yea!!

No fill cap

Built in Oil Cooler. This radiator is 3 inches thick,, looks huge...

I think it fits so nicely in there with a little kick slant to it...lol

Now I am trying to figure out how I am going to run my Intake. I could run it straight like most Vetts run theirs or. Run it to the side and down like a cold air setup.. Thoughts?

Going to run it to this custom tank we are Fabing up.. All Coolant lines are going here..

Looks so clean peaking thought the headlight whole..

Okay let's raise this car up to see how it looks from underneath.. My car looks so sad in its stock form, can't wait to finish her up..

Fits like a glove.. Man this thing is going to get some nice direct air flow.. So stoked

Nice to see something there instead of just air...lol

Now I just have to get some nice Spal 12" fans and I think I will be set...

I think once I paint the bay and tube chassis I will just polish this up and leave it silver... Thoughts?

Okay now for the prices..

ASD Universal Hydraulic E-Brake (16" Pull-Back): $179.00

Power Steering Cooler: $29.00

Ron Davis Custom Radiator: $800.00

Total price so far: $10,097.16

NEXT WEEK: STAGE 4: Phase 5 '"Cage work and Hydo mount"'

Thanks bro and def keep me posted on the clutch lines will need them soon.. As for the shifter there is a fix.. You know they made that shifter for a GTO T56 so if you use anything else you have to swap out the rear housing of the transmission to get it all lined up.. There is a link to the exact piece on My350z..

As for the Power steering lines.. I am running my own setup but thanks..

So edafe you recommend if at all possible to stick with the Cable throttle body setup?? I have access to a 05 GTO complete pull out motor with tranny, ECU, wiring harness, pedal assembly..hate to say it but im going auto in it just f.y.i. using the 6L80E instead of the Manual tranny on the GTO. the only down fall is the drive by wire setup that I want to get away from....If not My company locally here in Dallas area that is doing the swap said they can turn off all of that in the system and run a custom cable line for the tb which is fine but I would be the first LS2 swapped Auto with a 6L80e that has been done....!
