I couldnt resist, here is my 05 hardtop.

I requested no sunroof, no premium, and no rims since im gonna buy some rims anyway.

I dont care much for sunroofs, never used em on previous cars, i adjusted steering wheel at dealership and it hasnt moved since, and stereo is great, i keep the bass at +1 anyway.

The car still has leather (stone), power seats/mirrors, seat heaters, the sexy aluminum trim, & hids so no problem there. I added the spoiler and splashguards, and bought a purple Broadway mirror. Im a happy camper.

not as bad as me
the only time I close my sunroof is when I am washing her
otherwise, it's always at least tilted open (even in rain and stuff)

This old thread of mine brought up some lively discussion three years ago. Since there seems to be a lot of new people coming on here asking about their "new" g35 coupes and even a thread about shedding some weight from their g's I thought I would knock the dust of this thread.

So did you know you could find a G without a sunroof? I was also hoping to see pics of some hardtops still active around the forum

my 03.5 sedan had a sunroof

my 05 sedan did not have a sunroof

my 04 coupe does have a sunroof

the 05 sedan was by far my favorite... tons of headroom... and i'm convinced that cutting a huge hole in the roof seriously compromises to torsional rigidity of any car!

I will try to deliver some new pictures for you xX. Here are some shots from the last three years I like

Those last two cars are hot too

I don't know the actual weight savings, but I would have to imagine since it is from the top is the car it must make a handling impact. I do not claim that my driving skills or driving habits would take advantage of those difference. It was more about headroom. The big pieces that were deleted with the base model would be the glass and all mechanics, extra amp, and two 6x9's...plus dual climate and headlight sensors... Blah blah blah. That has to be a fair amount of weight though.
