my gumball 3000 experience

I'm sure most of you know what the gumball 3000 is, and if you don't i briefly explain it in the little joke of a photo-story below. Or, you can check it out yourself at www.gumball3000.com
anyhow, my friend and i drove from the 818 area to las vegas sunday morning to the hard rock hotel where they stopped the night before, in hopes to drive out to la with some of them. and i'd say it went pretty damn well. they were incredibly nice to us and actually wanted us to follow them!
anyway....
my very own gumball 1000

all the cars had to be stickered up for gumball sponsor reasons..but i admit the phantom looked ridiculous with stickers on it.

Was anyone scared that you were following them? I mean if I'm driving an exotic car with a bunch of other nice cars an a global race, and I see some guy following all of us and taking pics I'd be a little nervous. Especially being a foreigner and obvioulsy wealthy. Don't get me wrong our cars are nice, but do they really compare to a Lambo? If I was them I woulda thought you were gonna pull a jack move or something. Which btw you should have. j/k. Or am I?

hahaha. at first i thought about that..but at the second red light i followed them to the guy in the porsche ran out of his car and gave us stickers and tshirts. i asked him if it was cool that we followed them and he said yeah go for it! then at a gas station half an hour later we talked some more and he was really happy that we were so enthusiastic about it all - he was happy that we followed if anything. and trust me - our cars do not eve come close to comparing - that is something i definitely learned during the experience! slr's and enzo's seriously travel at the speed of light.

Unfortunately not D;
the manager of the event claimed there would be some but i guess the people that ordered them won't be getting them till around june, so they participated with some $200,000+ car they pulled out of their air hanger of a garage.

yeah..he really kept to himself a lot. the guys he were with seemed much more outgoing than he was. but then again, this was the last leg of the race...he was probably exhausted.
