He also said that once the light starts flashing, the system thinks the bags have been deployed, and they won't work now in an accident.
So far, I haven't seen an answer to the question several people have asked about....
ARE MY AIRBAGS IN WORKING ORDER NOW since I reset the light?? Does anyone know?
Thanks for all your posts!!
your airbag system are in working order . If you want to test them go get an accident. lol

Sorry, but your sentence makes no sense...("your airbag system are in working order not."
Want to repost what you meant?
Thanks.

Does this proceedure dsable the control sensor for the restraint system altogether? Or does it clear the LED warning? In other words, does this disable the airbags from working, i.e. safety?

I know this has worked for me in the past when my airbag light was BLINKING, but has anyone been able to get rid of a SOLID airbag light?

BUMP. Is it safe to assume that there isn't anything mechanically wrong with the airbag system?

My airbag just started blinking for no reason and I did the reset (which worked) but still don't have peace of mind when driving. I was involved in a car accident almost two years ago and the airbags did not deploy so I am confused as to why it would randomly start blinking?

Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

i guess i'm not the only one....air bag light just starting blinking today for no reason. will have to do the reset, i guess?

is there a reason why it suddenly went off in the middle of the day, granted i did have to do some errands so i did start and stop the engine a bunch of times.

To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away
I've used this method other day, it worked. But two days(~90 miles) later, the flashing airbag light came back again. =(
