Worked perfect on my 03 couple. My airbag light was on my navigation to but it came on because when i lowered my glove box i unplugged the yellow plug not knowing what it was..i plugged it back in and everything but the warning stayed on...

Now that i reset it, will my passenger airbag work?

FYI - if your airbag light is on "for no reason," you may want to get it checked out. Better to pay $35 and find out there is a problem than get in an accident and have your air bags not deploy!

You should only use this reset method if you *know* that you caused the light to blink in the first place. In my case, I unhooked the passenger airbag without disconnecting the battery.

wow thank you so much for this trick! I had this light on for the last few months and I was so paranoid about my airbag, good to know it's only a light reset problem - steps worked perfectly (after the 4th try of on and off).

Cool

So about this airbag light. There is a much easier way to fix this thing. There is a plug under the passanger seat. What happens; 9 times out of 10, is that plug has come loose. All that needs to be done is get some electronic glue and glue the plug back together.

I have not heard anything about a solid light. There is a couple things you can try. Look in your driver's manual to find all the locations of the airbag sensors. Since the car was previously in an accident the manual will show you where all the sensors are located. Check them out and see if they are damaged. Also; where the airbags replaced after the accident? If not if all else fells and you do not have new airbags just take the airbag fuse out. If you do this with airbags in place they will no longer work!

Had to do this today after unplugging the airbag cable, worked like a charm.

I have a 2003 G35 6MT - I put in a new iPhone Adapter (into Stereo) and now the Airbag light flashes and refuses to go off, even after trying all the reset steps on this thread, and slightly different steps on other threads (More wait between off/on, less wait etc).

But the light remains flashing.

Here are the steps to what I did:
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Took down the glove box
3. Disconnected all 3 connections on glove box
4. Noticed that one of them (I think the big one was the Airbag one) had a clip that could be detached from the Glove Compartment section, so unclipped that and plugged the connection back together.
5. Took out all other panels required to access Stereo.
6. Plugged in the iPod adapter (In case you were wondering its the NA15-NIS) to stereo.
7. Re-connected the Battery
8. Tested the adapter with my iPhone
9. Re-connected everything, and put all the panels back in place.
10. Started Car - Airbag light starts to flash (yeh, after the 6-7 secs)
11. Opened Laptop and started re-searching forums on reset procedude.
12. Disconnected battery for 5 seconds (negative terminal) - Light continued to flash.
13. Next up: Found a couple of different threads, all usually revolving around Inginition On/Off repeated 3-4 times when Airbag light goes out, but before it starts to flash.

No luck - Any advice would be appreciated.

Update: Phew ! So, apparently we left the air bag sensor connector disconnected ! Yes, I know, idiots...

But anyway, its is now connected, the 4 on/off steps were followed and the light is now off. Hurrah !

Thank's it worked great!

These steps work for me:

1) Insert key
2) Turn to ON position
3) Wait till SRS turn's off
4) Immediately turn off key after SRS turn's off but before the SRS start's flashing
5) Repeat about 3 or 4 time's

Work's prefectly!
