Thanks! The second method:

"To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away"

worked on the first try on a 2003 G35 coupe 6MT.

i put the key in the on position. as soon as the airbag light turns off before it comes back i turn the car off then turn the car back to on position and repeated 5-6 times.

The fix initially worked, but it got worse and kept tripping the blinking light within minutes. So this morning i dropped the car off to the dealership. Since i'm still under 6yr/70k miles.
The service manager said the airbag is covered under warranty, AND THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL ON THE AIR BAG RELAY. I'll come back and edit my post this evening when i get the car back.

Okay got the car back (only took half a day) looking better than when dropped her off i might add (courtesy car wash), and the Fix is covered under the 6yr/70,000 warranty!
So if your car falls into this category, i'd go ahead and take it to the dealership! and fix it for good, because i'm sure that relay WILL trip again eventually.

Does anyone know if this is true?

Im at 68k miles and out of the blue the airbag light is flashing. I was able to reset it once but now it won't reset again. Had the recall airbag fixed months ago i don't think this is related.

Does anyone know if airbags are in fact covered up to 70k like this person states?

I have an 05 and 59K miles and out of the warranty. I heard the airbags were covered 6 years 70K, so either way mine expired at the 6 year mark.

Mine started flashing last week so I did the reset on the first post, a week later it came on again. I took it to the dealer, the cleared the code, re-initialized, drove around the block a few times and it didn't return. If it comes back within 7 days, most likely they will need to replace the airbag AND the control unit which can cost around $1500.00. If it doesn't come back I guess I'm free and clear.

The service advisor told me it's not covered, but he had a customer who called Infiniti customer care and complained about it for a week straight and they covered his costs.

Nice! I had the dealer replace the in-cabin air filter at my last oil change, and the light started blinking. I tried the "4 time on and off" method and it worked.
