i was actually surprised not to have heard of this prior, tb spacer was one of the most common and effective bolt-ons for my last car, where it consistently dyno'd 7rwhp,

if i hadn't missed it i'd've probably gotten it.

Its fine for people that haven’t even tried it to sit back and say it doesn’t work… some of the very same people say that about a bunch of mods – that happen to work very well on my car…

I just think it’s foolish for anyone to make decisions based on such nonsense… but quite honestly I couldn’t care less if no one else wants one. I’m way too busy to spend the amount of time I have to help get it to the people that wanted it.

It’s on over 55 cars – if it wasn’t enjoyed by the vast majority of those users you would be hearing all kinds of impressions that indicate this. The beta test period was a like it buy it, don’t like it return it offer… of over 20 people, only one was given back.

There’s really not much more to say guys. You can beat it to death… it is what it is. It’s on my car and my car has responded very well to it… as have many, many others.

For those of you that think I’m so damn creative that I am BSing you about all this… wow – you really have more time on your hands than me if you think something with this much history could have possibly been fabricated.

It's quite simply actually... there is enough info out here to determine if it's right for you. If it's not then it's not. If you aren't sure that it is I wouldn't spend a dime if I were you (or anyone else who isn’t sure).
how much research did it take to copy the design that helix powertower did when they made this 10 years ago??? the designs are the same

#1 - nope, the designs are not the same (not even close actually).

#2 - when I referenced time spent it had nothing to do with designing the product.

#3 - I won’t continue to respond to posts that obviously are made without any amount of understanding the background about this unit.

#4 - why do people beat a dead horse? If you don’t like something don’t use it. Who cares?

Donated by Dave O fr Nissan Sport Mag.........!

[QUOTE=G35Pinoy]i think stillen gave one to speedraver at the bbq a few days ago

Actually it wasn't Stillen but Dave O from Nissan Sport Mag that donated the
TBS for the drawing! Other than the grille/sways the TBS was one of the
better items given away, at least it works!

What exactly is so magical about Shawn Church's dyno?

I have seen countless vehicles dyno'd at this dyno. Many with before/after dyno's. And, unless you're seeing something I am not, there is absolutely nothing "magical" about his dyno.

You're speaking of "magical" gains, and not peak numbers. Most people throw out the "his dyno reads higher than most dyno's"... obviously its a dynapack. But "magical" gains? I have never heard such a thing. Since you're all about statistics and facts, please show us how this dyno achieves "magical gains"

.

While helix doesn't have a g35 TBS, here is a pic of their interior spacer design

Compared to the TBS in question

While the "rifling" designs are different, being a chemical engineer with a background in fluid dynamics, I'm gonna have to call BS on the air "twisting" due to the design. If you understood basic fluid dynamics, you would know that the air moving near the walls of a pipe are moving at a much slower rate than the center, so the influence of such a small section of turbulence would be close to negligable assumming the air flow was laminar to start with. If you were already in the turbulent region, then the claims of mixing are even more unbelievable. While I cannot comment on whether this mod makes power or not becuase engines are much too complex to be modeled by a single theory. The claim that the TBS makes power because of the rifling resulting in better mixing is very hard to believe by anyone with even a slight background in the topic. The reason it may make power seems to be more convoluted within the many variables.

Well, on this I will say that when the air travels around the bend the inner corner the air is traveling faster than the middle or outer areas. This was designed by a engineer as well.

At least this is how it was explained to me.
