...so trading it for performance apparently was NOT the reason for the swap. Talks about a squashed testimonial.

Copbait keep selling it bud. Sell what YOU bought so YOU feel better about yourself. "Yeah I told you so" is ridiculous when there is no empircial evidence for determination for one way or the other, yet. If you get satisfaction from the fact that one guy traded in a plenum then you truly are grasping at straws when analyzing the effectiveness of your mods. There are some who run techtom test, some run dyno's in context of one and only one car, some run lap tests or 0-60 or 1/4 miles. Then some just go with what that bandwagon does and tout it like its performing as well as something they never tried. Hmm which is the best approach? Most people make investment decisions the way copbait makes mod decisions. In the dark. I guess it's natural.

Copbait,
I think the Crawford guys here understand the spacer works so we don't need to do anything to agitate them. It's cool. Thanks for the support.
You Herridan

Copbait,

As I've said before... I'm convinced the spacer works! I just don't like "mis-information" like this guy traded in his plenum for a spacer due to performance reasons, and the plenum spacer has zero pressure drop, and so forth...

Recap:
1. The plenum spacer works and is $150 cheaper than a new cast Crawford Plenum.
2. The real reason this guy sold his plenum is because it rubbed his cf hood, not because the spacer performed better!
3. Crones are cool and harridan's drool. (all in good fun I promise) -been hanging around my 4 year old daughter too much I guess.

Geez all I said is that's one hellova testimonial for someone to have a complete crawford setup and then to switch over to a spacer. How is that mis-information? You guys are too damn sensitive

Not to get into the plenum change vs the spacer, I have just installed my 1/2" spacer and feel the pull between 4k rpms and redline. The dyno curve seems correct on my dyno butt. My car is new again! Mods are good.

1. I thought it was only $100 cheaper? Or was it $200 cheaper? Basicly half price right?

2. I guess we'll have to ask him next time.

3. I'd rather have a Harridan sticker on my car, 'Crones' sounds like an alien race off a Star Trek episode..

1. The 1/2 inch spacer is $150 cheaper than the Crawford Plenum according to the pricing data that I saw on the my350z.com inventor classified forum.

3. Look up the definition of harradan and crone and see which sticker you'd rather have on your car.

I would certainly love to see this Neffster. 40 RWHP by bolt-on’s alone would be ambitious and unlikely. However, if you see such gains, I will be extremely happy for you (jealous).

However, I am not pleased the performance with my vehicle (262 RWHP). I postponed further testing with the Unichip (maps) until my JWT cams are installed. With the JWT cams, I sure as hell better be at 275 RWHP. The Stillen test pipes I believe are causing some hp/torque losses. I will most likely replace them with a set of high-flow cats.

You'll see that the Crawford Plenum and h/f cats gain ~20rwhp. BTW, I did this dyno 1 year ago, which was 8-9 months before there ever was a Florida G35 Club and 8-9 months before Doug ever offered to sponsor us. This is just one of the reasons why I'm such a pro-Crawford promoter. I bought the Crawford products, independently dyno tested it and found it to work to the advertised gain (within reason). Then Doug later on agrees to sponsor our club and donate a Crawford Plenum and a Billet Oil Cap for our first ever "All Florida Meet" raffle.

Doug told me when I bought the plenum that with my RT Cats and the V5 plenum (and z-tube) that I should gain ~20rwhp. He said if I added in his headers that my gains should go up to about 40rwhp at redline and the torque would improve much earlier on. Well I just got around to putting the headers on and will soon be able to verify or disprove this claim.

Stay Tuned...
