The bolts are too long and the hood is too low for the bolts to back that far out.
Even then, you will notice if you unthread the bolt, the bolt still doesn't freely turn or move up because the silicone gasket is compressed against it for a good seal. Try it. It certaintly doesn't move freely, and as long as its locked in by the hood, the spacer isn't going anywhere.

Thx Tony. I have been driving with it for almost 2 weeks and I still love it. I chekced the bolts with my torque wrenc and they seem to be holding. Thanks for the help guys!!!
