For all of you folks with the MREV and the MREV+ . . . Are any of you planning on getting the MREV++? This is Motordyne's lastest plenum mod, which based on what I have read promises to yield good gains.

Tony, what new surprises do you hold for us anxiously awaiting folks?

What I've done is gone from a stock 2003 287HP coupe and installed a 1/2" spacer with a z-tube and a K&N filter. The performance picked up and the intake growled a lot more. It was fun with moderate torque increase and at the top end, it just screamed Enough to be noticeable and fun.

I installed a 5/16" spacer and lower plenum MREV+ on a 2005 coupe and couldn't believe how much it woke up that engine.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I could say was "Holy Crap .... what a difference" So it got me to thinking on how much better would it be on my car. About that time Motordyne Engineering published there dyno's on a modified lower plenum on a 287HP motor and that convinced me to place my order. In the mean time just for curiosity's sake and since I was removing the 1/2" spacer, to sell, I installed the 2005 lower manifold in my car. It made a HUGE difference! The car is no longer as much fun to drive and the mid range torque is gone....... long gone

So now I'm just waiting for the 5/16" spacer to arrive and it's install time. I was lucky enough to get one of the new MREV++ lower manifolds, and waiting for the spacer to arrive ....... it's in the mail

Updates to follow

^^^^Excellent! Looking forward to your review of the complete set-up of the MREV++ lower collector and the 5/16" plenum spacer. Enjoy! . . . I know you will.

So some people who ordered MREV+ received MREV++? My dealer ordered me MREV+ and 5/16 spacer, but I think what was received 2 days ago was MREV v. 1 (+). So now I am waiting to see if Tony will be kind enough to exchange the old MREV w/ the new one if requested by the service manager at my dealership... We shall see...Meanwhile I am jealous...Enjoy

Thumbs up Another Happy MREV Plus Owner

So last night I installed MREV Plus. It’s pretty straight forward, took me a few hours with a break for Wendy’s after I took everything apart. Take your time and make sure the engine is cold. Having a torque wrench helped and the instructions are well detailed. Awesome mod, car has a nice bump in power all around and the engine sound is a great plus. While I had the top plenum off I just dremeled down a few of the casting spurs, as well as cleaned everything.
Great mod, I highly recommend it!

Right on . . . Glad to read that you are enjoying your new mod. Have you noticed the difference in the sound, which your car is making now? With the MREV+, Z tube and K&N filter combo, I was quite surprised and very pleased the first time that I drove my car after the MREV+ install. Enjoy!

Does the increased HP/TQ measure up on the butt dyno? Thanks.

Thanks, I love it. The sound over 4k is awesome, a low grumble, I love it. It's raining here in NY so I've had no chance to really open her up.

Yes, the car pulls well. It's weird though, not a "bad weird", but the power seems to be bumped up all around even at lower rpms. Like, even off the line with a normal start I don't need to work the gas/clutch as much. Hard to explain, but...I may have to relearn the G's throttle/clutch. When you lay you foot into the gas in any gear, you can definitely tell something has changed for the better.

You can really feel the added power here but after you put on your new wheels and body kit, it feels like stock again

vdc slip light comes on a lot more now than pre-mrev+....it gets annoying sometimes, especially when fuel cut activates (but better safe than sorry so i leave vdc on all the time).....happened to me while cruising with a couple of 350z's several weekends ago... the power is definitely there... off idle it wants to lurch forward way more....

passing power on freeways and highways are done with less effort and can bring you to tripple digits quickly....

Hehehe . . . I cannot wait til the MREV 2 shows up on my door steps. I know that the RevUp engine was not afforded a complete MREV 2/spacer dyno test this last Saturday at Church's . . . But I am quite anxious just the same. Performing a baseline dyno, tomorrow.

Where are you ending up going for your baseline? I want to do one too prior to my ECU tuning.

I know- but it's too far away, and I don't feel like unveiling my car until all of the mods are complete.
