I'm getting Ry's basics this saturday! also kinda waiting to see how some changes pan out in my financial area, but I am finally going to be putting on my kit (awaiting fenders) and painting the whole car. Depending if I get a job or not, I'm going to get my wheels. The mod thing got placed on hold when I got laid off, but I'm getting it ready for the next show.

I just don't believe in paying almost $2500 for USED rims and tires. its the reason i refuse to buy rims from members on driver or my350. I remember someone on here trying to sell rims they had on the car since 2004 for what they paid for them brand new. $1200 for used rims to me isn't a bad deal. If they were brand new, never mounted, then I could see asking a higher price.
I see your point too Shawn. It really depends on the condition of the wheels, if the wheels are pretty much new, meaning no scratches etc, then the price is not bad but if you have to spend an additional 300 to fix them or resurface or whatever and considering the cost of new ones around 3k, then its not worth it.
^^
I understand where your coming from. But i sold my "privat netz w/ nitto 555 tires" for $1,000.00, those are cheaper wheels compared to Ryan's. There's no way in the world he will take $1,200.00.
I purchased my wheels for $400.00 for all four. Powder coated them & threw new tires on. I broke even when i sold them over.
If i bought wheels for $3,500.00 Honestly , drove around on them for a good year. when it's time to sell them. I will be asking $3,000.00-2,700.00
Wheels ain't no different from clothing. Ryan buy's his stuff when It first comes out (or damn near close to it) Obviously he gets tired of it after a while and resell em. yeah we know he pulls the parting out b.s on everyone. we all know he has his eyes on something else lol

I disagree. You would have to add extra camber or get narrower tires to stretch them. You are the wheel/tire expert around here, but I still disagree. I'm running 10.5" 20's with a +45 offset and mine are pretty flush (rolled fenders of course) with a 275 tire. His are 10" with a +15 offset. (1/2" =12.7mm / 2 = -6.35mm difference from the fender) This will put them at about 23mm ~1" further out than mine are. Luckily they are 18's so you can stretch the tire without much issue. Yes you can make it work, but I still don't think it is a "good" offset for a sedan. (of course you'll probably prove me wrong )
