got in an accident yesterday...**Pics Updated**

yeap. so im driving on the palmetto and i'm going about 60mph. i'm at the height of the bird road - coral way exit, when all of a sudden i hear a pop and with my peripheral vision i see a huge chunk of tire fly off. i pull over to realize that the middle part of the tire had been completely ripped off. oh and then i realize that i have a huge dent in the rear bumper due to the tire exploding. infiniti never gave me a wheel lock with the oem wheels when i bought the car so i was ****ed on the palmetto because i couldnt put my spare on. then the so called free infiniti roadside tow truck arrived only to inform me that the service to tow my car was $95.

so now i need to figure out what to do. i pay for the coverage for wheels & tires, so i'm thinking i'll take it to the dealer and have them replace the tire for me, but i dont know if they will cover the damage to my rear bumper due to the tire.

can anyone give me some advice?

i'll post up pics today.

here's the pics

getting fixed at the moment. state farm covers the rear bumper, and infiniti easy care program cover new wheel and tire. should be back to normal within 10 days.

that's what i thought man. you know the whole infiniti roadside assistance gold card thing? thats the number i called, and after having to verbally abuse the operator for being a douchebag and arguing with me that the 826 does go northbound, they sent out a tow truck and el cubanaso that came with it charged me $95 to tow my car.

i already dropped off the car at my body shop and it's getting fixed as we speak. $500 deductible takes care of new bumper and paint. and since i have the easy care tire/wheel coverage with the car contract, i get a new tire and rim free of charge. i took the pics but i dont have a sd card to upload through work. when i get home i'll post pics so you guys can see the damage this one tire did.

no, tires were barely a year old. The part that looks slick, isn't supposed to be like that. That middle part of the tire blew out completely, and in doing so, teabagged my bumper.

wow

that's BS

either Infiniti or Bridgestone should cover everything.

That looks like a major tire failure

You should be really really firm with them.
that is unacceptable tire failure. It looks like a tread came off completely.
