am actually just bringing the car over to a body shop to just fix the damage that i have to the front bumper and get the whole car waxed.. i tried taking off the adhesive with adhesive remover and it wasn't doing anything. So the body shop is going to use some type of clay compound to remove it. I have a quick question am going to buy a nismo catback exhaust from a friend that has a 350z and was wondering if am going to need an extension or is it going to bolt right up? also wondering if my exhaust would bolt up to the 350z without a problem.thanks!

IMO do not buy it, reason is you need an extension piece for the mid pipe and the tips will be horribly sunken in, would need to extend the tips a few inches as well.

overall there is an 8in difference btwn the two cars

you will need a 6in extention for the mid pipe, like danny said, then the tips will be 2 in short

some have had the tips extended and it looks pretty good

but there is no way you are gonna fit your exhaust into a 350z w/ out lots of cutting and welding

just look in the marketplace for a Fuji exhaust, they are the ones who make the nismo for nissan, so they sound exactly the same and its made for the coupe

unless you can find a nismo weldina, which is the one made for the skyline 350gt, but you have to get it imported from japan

the reason why i ask is because i was gonna pick up the nismo exhaust for 400 bucks seeing as the fuji exhaust goes for about 1000 i just want to save as much $ as possible.. so for the midpipe extension am going to have to either order it from japan or have an exhaust shop make a custom one? any idea how much that cost?

this is what you need, its $50
http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=4404

you are gonna need to have a muffler shop cut the tips and extend them though

thats a sick price though, it might be worth a shot

i have no idea am going to go check out the exhaust today.. he bought the whole exhaust system from nismo so i have no idea whether or not it has the y-pipe.. the nismo exhaust tips actually look the same size as the stock, cant seem to find the actual size of the tips online

the tips are 4in but they are doubled walled and oval, so makes them look smaller than they are
