so i just got 4 new falken 452's cause the camber wear on mine tore the **** out of the insides of the tire.
I have the tein basic coilovers.
I went to a couple shops in miami and they told me the parts for a camber kit would be 500 for the front and 200 for the back...
Alsoo they said it was about a 500 dollar labor charge.
PLEASE let me know if this is correct or not!!
They said they have to drop the whole front end and some other stuff and would take more than 4 hours...Is there any place that can do it cheaper?
And what camber kit would work good with my car so i can use my tires for more than 6 months!! ive seen many on here for about 450 front and back shipped..

After I dropped my G. The alignment shop wanted $1500 ($700 parts plus $600 labor plus $100 for another alignment plus tax).

Which is ridiculous. I'm going to buy a camber kit in a few weeks and install myself. You can get front/rear camber kit on the forums new for ~$525 shipped.

yeah i was goin to get the spc off the forum...but the guys atthe shop said its impossibel to do with out a car lift and something to compress the front end when they dropp it...how were you plannign on doing it yourself? is it possible? they made it sound like u need a shop with a lift and alot of tools..

 

Ummm, find a new shop.

I'd recommend buying a kit from the forum vendors. As mentioned, you can go with the SPC for $525. As for install, if you can find someone locally to do it, I'd recommend that (locally as in a fellow G member).

Install costs seems WAY too pricey.

 

Its not a hard install, but you will need an alignment after the fact.

AutoGlitz down in Fort Lauderdale. They can do everything there for you at a good price

 

its not a hard install. especially the back. the key is having the right tools. there are a few DIY's here and my350z.com which should give you a good idea on how to do it. i did my camber kit & springs in a weekend, but i've worked on my cars before, and i like it.

toughest parts for me were actually not tough at all:
1) there's a tapered bushing on the factory upper control arm that was a pain to remove.
2) grinding out some metal to install the rear toe bolts...

btw, no lift needed... just a jack and some towers.

ok so if i went into autoglitz tomorrow..how much would they charge for the kit and the install? im kinda in a time crunch to get this done before monday.

 

I am not positive but I doubt Autoglitz stocks anything like that. You would have to bring them the parts.

 

+1 for THMotorsports. I got my SPC kits from them. I was running -5.8 on my pass rear after my drop. It was murder on the tires. Best bet would be to find somone locally to put em in. The shops will empty your wallet with the prices they charge. Should not cost you more than $800 for everything. Look for some used kits but make sure its the updated model if getting SPC.
