We definitely had a great time yesterday. It was a long hot day, but it was worth it. The temperature started to drop as the sun went down and I ran my new personal best of 12.09@115.97 with a 1.84 60'. As you can see from the pics above, earlier in the day I was throwing down mid 1.7 60' times on the drag radials but it was too much for my 3 year old clutch. When I went to shift into 2nd, the clutch pedal would stick to the floor. So I was taking it easy the rest of the day.

These runs were with my full interior minus the spare and tools. also had about 3/8 tank of fuel (a little more than I would have liked). I know she has an 11 second pass in her. But I am pretty happy considering the full interior and stock long block.

On another note, we had a great group of guys out there yesterday. But we really need to get more guys to come out and participate in these track events.

I will download and post up my pics from work tomorrow.

Yes that is eric (drakos) car. He came out and ran the car for the first time. We were happy to have him with us and remember everyone has to start somewhere.

Talking

Yeap... that Blue car be me...LOL First time ever running a quarter mile on track. We all decided to do the Bracket racing and since I had never ran before (Legally any ways...LOL) I had to be realistic. My rear tires are Stock 245/40/R19 worn out to hell. I had my car as is... meaning (Spare Tire plus all the stuff it comes with to jack up the car, Sub Boxs with Amp, First Aid Kit...ect) and slightly over Half a tank of gas.

When I decided to run the car... I just wanted to have fun. My main goal that day was to get a feel for racing on the Track and learn everything I could while having fun. Learned to stage, how to time the tree, how to figure out your dial in properly and how to read the damn slip they give you to improve on each run. Mission Accomplished, I had a Blast.

All of you that didn't join us... you really missed out on a great time. Hopefully next time, more of you will join us at the track. Even someone GREEN as I had a blast running my car.

I had to Post it...LOL

^great way to get your feet wet Drako! I wish I could do the same thing. It's been over 3 years since I've hit the track. I want to see what I can do in my Bone stock G.
