weekend chain of events

This weekend was interesting. It all came to a head saturday between 7am and 9pm. As most of you that are close to me know I have been sitting on some parts for awhile. Had the cluch masters flywheel about 2 yrs, crawford headers about 2 yrs and the clutchmasters stage3 clutch for about 4 months. I decided to wait to install the headers for when the clutch replacement beacame eminent. And of course with the recent chain of events at the nscra pbir race (5th pass) when the clutch started to go south.
The install on the clutch was really simple ( especially with the lift and trans jack). However the crawford headers cost 6-8bills to put in for a reason. Ernest and I opted to go an easier route on the install. We removed the header studs and install arp manifold bolts. I could only imagine trying to pry the headers in the with the studs protruding from the block. As long as the headers are mounted to a spare set of cylinder heads prior to instal(for bolt hole alignment verification) the install will go much much easier. Install was quick but man ernest and I are getting old and we are beat today. Talk to you guys soon and yes there is a noticable difference in the way the car acts now. Time for test pipes, ss clutch line and a retune. Talk to you soon mike

Congrats, Mike! I actually watched a tech at Lokey Infiniti install the Crawford headers on coupe and it was pretty time consuming and a pain in the *** for the tech doing it. I watched them rock the motor from side to side to get them to fit due to the spatial constraints. Glad you had smooth install...
