Tires

What do you guys recommend?

I drive 64 miles a day, 4 days a week, so I need something that will last a bit.

I am looking at the General Exclaim they have 380 tread, I found a site that has my size 245/45R18 for $135 per shipped. Reviews are great for this tire.

The Falken 452s which many people roll on here are a bit out of my budget, but only 300 tread rating, and people say they don't get that much out of them?

I am looking in that range of price up to like 150 or so per tire.

I also just got an alignment at ICC during the car show, so no need for another with new tires right? I am moving from 235/45s to 245/45s

I've had no luck w/ Falken nor Khumos. Check the Good Year Eagle GTs. They are a little pricey.

some peeps say I should go with hankook ventus v12 evo, but they only have 280 tread ware. I need to read people that have them... ect

since I read that you cant compare tread rating between companies.

$135 per tire for the General Exclaim 18" tires isn't too bad. I have the same tire except it's 245/35/19 and paid $149 per tire from Discount Tire. I've had these tires for 2 years so far and haven't had problems with them other than slight inner wear on the front tires (but that's because I'm lowered 1" and riding on 19's, and no camber kit).

General Exclaims are good tires, excellent traction against wet weather, and minimal road noise. I probably have close to 6/32" tread left on the tires.

Yea, seems they are pretty good tires. From www.treaddepot.com they are the cheapest place I have found them.

How many miles on them?

I love my Falken FK452's Awesome stretch, i cant really hear noise but then again im test piped n hks'd (FTMFW btw ).. Bro check out Autoglitz that I was tellin u about. Least give em a call to find out pricing. I got my Falkens for cheap bro like 130 there was even a vendor here who quoted me like 139 for falkens (Dan or sumthin like that). Im pretty sure they can get the Generals for cheaper. Ur best bet at longevity and pricing might be the Generals.

I called auto glitz they matched tire racks price on the generals, I need to see if they can match to treddepot.com. but the Falkens were not cheaper.

I have the hankook ventus v12 evo tires on my 19's I have only had them for about 5 months, but they seem to be holding up just fine so far. Ride quality is good and I have had no problems with traction in the dry or wet.
