Need help finding out what wheel size to order
Need help finding out what wheel size to order
I have a pretty much stock g35 sedan 2003.... And I want to throw some chrome rims on it I'm just inexperienced with how to figure out the offset and best wheel size. I think I either want some 19s or 20s but I don't want my speedometer to get offset too much. Can anyone that has some experience help me out.thanks
You can fit either 19 or 20's and adjust the tyre size to accommodate for speedo correction.
The offsets desired will depend on the width of wheels you want, if you intend to lower and also if you want to leave the wheel arches untouched or roll/pull them.

To add to this^^ remember that 18's will be a much more comfortable ride and tires will cost less. As you get bigger and bigger wheels tires get more expensive, especially the 19's and ride quality will deteriorate. Tire size will play a huge part on the fitment issue. Here's my ride specs below:
Wheels-18X9 +25 offset (includes 5mm spacer) all around
Tires-F 235/45/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
R 245/45/18 Michelin Super Sports
Suspension-Dropped 3" on Tanabe Pro5 Coilovers, adjustable camber arms front/rear and rear SPC
toe bolts, fenders flattened F/R, in factory spec all around on toe and camber. .

Love my set up and fitment!!

Thanks the 18's ride a lot better than my previous set up with 19's but I liked the look of the 19's better. Too bad these got stolen 3 years ago.

Just be aware, some chrome wheels are really heavy and will affect braking, handling and acceleration. In fact, a lot of after market wheels can be on the heavy side even if they aren't chrome.

Does that rub anywhere? You still have the front fender well plastics on there?
I want to space out my fronts but I'm sure they will rub a lot on the plastics with 255 35 20

No it doesn't rub anywhere. I wanted 245/45's up front to be square all around but they wouldn't clear the fender with my drop and the 235/45's literally have almost no gap between the tire and fender with the wheel turned.
And I do still have the fender liners here.
