I'll have my video camera.
Derek spoke for me... (well, he spoke for himself really) - When I read concern about helmet, Dsskyline is the only one that has needed it... If you are FI > have a helmet. If you are NA and need one = DAMN!!!! I am envious! BTW - remember we are in So Cal early summer several hundred feet above sea level... when you read a mid 13 post > THET AREN'T ON OUR TRACK!!!!

So considering that, can I just go around the waterbox, rev high and dump the clutch to get the wheels clean? That's what I always do with my stock tires. I'm sure that will get them clean, but I highly doubt that will heat them up at all.

Henry - that's more an AT concern... MT's can launch much easier... just pretend it's your parents car! That's what I did when I learned to launch an MT!

With your car you don’t have to depress the brake pedal... feather the clutch and slight throttle... in reality you shouldn’t need to hand brake anything (no offense Wally)... MT is much better to finagle than AT - much more so in twisties... adjusting RMP with an MT is a given - and without special "tricks" is very difficult with AT.

When we are both at Irwindale I’ll let you with my car so you can get a better idea of what people refer to… Or if is make it to DaveO’s tomorrow you can run it ion the 140mph track!

Funny... I just read Derek’s and Wally’s posts... I retract the hand brake thing Wally (I guess you realized it's not necessary)... Derek, I advised Henry (Skate) not to worry about power loss during loss based on braking and accelerating - however I suppose there is an advantage to further disabling VDC by pulling the plug... I don’t think it's as inherent of a problem with MT as AT because the ECU cuts power when you throttle and brake with AT which isn’t necessary with MT - but since you race with MT you probably have a technique that works.

Henry - come out to Dave's and mess around with different techniques... It's basically a 7-mile LACR for free.

right on... thanks... we need to keep the bump there as well... Last Fontana there were a couple of Zs solo but when they realized we were together they wanted to join and hang... same at Irwindale... It's great to have an entire Nissan crew together! Hopefully there aren’t any Zs apposed to it.

Derek - got any FX contacts that are interested in grouping with us?...

it's only at Irwindale It stops the car from rolling forward from the slight front decline.

Sorry fellas but it looks like I am out. My G will be ready today for sure and I will be picking it up but the only time I have available to have my front bumper fitted and installed will be this Saturday. So I will be going to the body shop at 10am this Saturday. Next street legal drags, I am definitely in and I will be 100% ready. So I guess this Saturday I will try to make an appearance at the HB GTG after my front bumper is installed. Sorry fellas, I was really looking forward to a few blasts down the 1/4 mile but it was just not meant to be this time around.

So is the rule that if you're 13 sec or less you need a helmut?
