My first try, I got a 14.777 with my so-called slicks (bald tires) lol
2nd try netted a 14.2 with DRs.
3rd try I ended up getting a 14.1.
I learned never to go to Cal Speedway when it's hot and ALSO I need to get me some DRs lol

Nice Wally, glad you guys had fun out there. Sorry couldn't make it. The whole team wanted to go to HB instead. Maybe when it cools down a bit.

This was 90-100+ weather 1455 feet above sea level! (no not LACR this is CA Speedway in Fontana - LACR is worse!)
I was amazed during the G37 viewing at Stillen when a fellow VQ owner (350Z) asked about local 1/4 mile times and asked why we aren't in the mid 13s like what he has seen on the boards.
I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to race all the 40 degree 700' sea level 13.6ers out there across the country!
We have **** conditions, so base our numbers on what the factors are.
Okay
just had to be sure everyone was clear. Even though this is a regional forum, others read and post…

just had to be sure everyone was clear. Even though this is a regional forum, others read and post…It was so damn hot (104 at a point), that the DA's were no better than those at LACR. I checked the DA's for that day @ Cal Speedway, and they were 4839 ft DA's. That's right around the typical density altitude of LACR!
If we attend a Cal Speedway event at temperatures around 50-60 degrees, we would have DA's of around 1643 feet, which is excellent for California standards.
Can't wait for fall/winter
