Quote: I always bring my own gas or fill up with 100oct from 76 on the way I never tried it at the track. Check the 76 stations near you or on the way to CS and find out if they sell 100 at the pump
I can get race gas… I have a couple gallons in a can now (but will be using it for tomorrows tune)… I want to run once on 91 with performance map, then another on race gas with 105 map… If I fuel prior to the track I won’t be able to do before & afters… I might just bring a can of race gas… so if the KBBQ smells like fuel, that’s why

Quote: I think is the weather holds up the DA should be 1700-1900 compared to our over 2200 last time.

I wish we had between 500 and 1k DAs like the east coast.
The DA's were over 4000 in our last run at Cal Speedway. It was a great day for tanning, not drag racing

I was ready to put money on the race with Rookie... I'm serious (as long as he gives enough lead).

I hope there is room in the pit area for anyone showing up late...

so who all is racing? Me, Rookie, Tim, Henry (if he can make it) Vlad, are you?

Derek, Wally, and Marty are not...
Don't know yet, if the temps are below 60s i will give it a shot. If not, i'll just be the cook.

OK guys can you smell the Q? I just marinaded the meat. I hope you enjoy. The carne asada is one I made in Texas. No bottled marinade..So I bought enough for 10 people. about 1 1/2 asada steaks for each..and of course the KBBQ.

was it? If the DAs are low we should see good times from everyone.

Unfortunately, yes. I took the info & calculated the DA's on the websites available at the drag sections, and they were 4000+ DA's. Didn't surprise me seeing how the temps reached 104

I was hoping we got near 40 degrees for the drag day but I guess i was too optimistic I guess. That would mean low hundreds in DA's. I want those 13's

low 40s? Have you tried racing in the 40s? We did once and a cold track is not good for traction.

Cold track with low humidity is perfect for drag racing... but we're never going to get a ~40F morning without high humidity in Fontana

Yeah, I could imagine there being traction issues with low temps, high humidity.

I believe this was from Jan 2007

Track had delays all day and was freezing cold, traction sucked that day.

Damn now thats cold! That would be sweet conditions on a low desert track, but not near the cost. Was this at CS too?

Yep.

Same day as these pics.

Run with a prelude.

We got like 2-3 runs that day which sucked. The ambulance that took the GTO owner to the hospital was a little late in returning and held the track up from running since they are required to have an ambulance onsite.

What time are all the drag racers going to be there? I will be there at 6:00 A.M sharp. Let's try to make it to the first group. Therefore shaving off the last wait time for the last run (~2:00 hours of wait).

It doesn't seem like many people will actually be racing, so I will probably just wait 10-15 min at most and then join the line.
