Lousiana I-10 parking lot

I travel thru Lousiana at least four times a year on Interstate 10 and 12. It seems the State of Lousiana always seems to have part of it or all of it shut down on major holidays like Thanksgiving. Crusing towards Baton Rouge, I see a bunch of tail lights...........

After we stopped, a lifeflight chopper was observed taking off in the distance. As soon as I snapped the pic of my G, I see the traffic start to move. The total stop time was less than ten minutes. After a mile or so of 5 mph stop-n-go driving, came upon the scene. Really bad.... body in stretcher being transported.....

I hear ya cato! the bumpy ride down I-10 to baton rouge is a bummer! I now fly into new orleans and drive up. Tickets are only $130 and the drive about an hour. Takes about the same time (5 hours) but less traffic ;-)

Should have been there when were evacuating for Hurricaine Katrina took about 13 hours to get from New orleans to Baton Rouge. Yea living in New Orleans does kind of suck, roads are always being closed for construction, but I never see any improvements when they are done.

Exactly! Those Cajuns continue to "work" on I-10, but it just seems to get worse.
