Lot's of friends I know in Sugar Land are leaving now. 80 ft tires possible and that is way way high. So they are not taking any chances.

Those of you that are staying - PM someone in your general area or someone you "talk" to on here with a phone number or some way to check on you. I'd hate for some of our guys/girls to be in need of some help and no one know it.

So sue me - I'm a mom to the core. I'm SO worried about all of you that are staying.

I'm mot about to sit on the freeway for 24 hours, just to turn around and fight it again coming home. I will take my chances here. I will just pile up all of my mattresses around the G, incase the roof comes off my garage.

Some Lousy State couple hit and ran on my G last week. It was supposed to be finished today, but no luck. So my G is sitting in a body shop waiting to have the bumper finished. I'm stuck with a Ford Explorer. I don't think it will even fit in my garage... I would hate for one of my trees to fall on it and have to pony up to fix it. SSSSHHHHHH111111TTTTT!

Is anyone else as appalled as I about the situation on the highways in Houston? WTF are the officials in Texas thinking! I know they don't get as many of these as they do in Florida and south Alabama but does it take rocket science to figure out that they should open the other side of the interstate to outbound traffic!! I am watching these people sitting in this traffic when the other side of interstate is basically empty. How many people could have left if the officials had just used their common sense?

Great advice, Cheryl.........Everyone who is not leaving should think about how to stay in touch with others during and after the storm.

Those roads look awful. I've heard suggestions that staying put would be best now, and not get into a traffic jam and run out of gas leaving you stranded.

Good offer Randy: High ground is the place to be.

Be safe, peeps, our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

C.
