Grand Prix of Houston Pictures

I went to the three days of the Grand Prix of Houston. Here are some pictures I took on Thursday's practice session.

Man. I wanted to go to this thing so bad. Too bad it was graduation and mothers day weekend.
Edited by Cato:
I added some more pics here because they should be at the top of this thread.

Very Nice pictures cato.

Believe it or not, I had free tickets, but between my Son's 1st birthday on Saturday and Mother's day there was no way in hell I was going.

Well, I took two vacation days to attend. After all day Thursday and most of Friday, drinking $7 beers, I was pretty worn out! I didn't arrive until 7:00 pm on Saturday to see the final Champ Car race.

I added 15 more pictures at the top of the thread. I wish I were a millionaire so I could play with the big boys!

Nice pics. Love that DB9R. I went the first year and it pretty much sucked because it rained.

Those two Austin Martins were the loudest cars out there, with the exception of the Corvettes. They just screamed! If you shut your eyse for a couple of minutes, you could definitly tell when the Corvettes and the Austin Martins went by! They were incredibly loud. I speculate that none of the cars had any type of muffler at all.

I'll post some pics too. I was there only Friday for the American Le Mans race. I love the Porsche RS Spyders. I thought they were gonna beat even the Audi R8 even though it's a bigger class, until both failed to finish.

The RS Spyders took 1,2 yesterday.

I saw that on CBS. That was awesome. However, I don't think they will continue to take the tops when Audi comes back with the R10 diesel for the actual Le Mans and afterwards. But still, it's impressive for P2 cars to take the overall. Kinda reminds me of the time when those Vipers GTS-R's won Le Mans overall. Dodge needs to come back and give the C5R's some challenge.
