OK I just called.
The whole weekend of June 26th is booked for Wekiwa Springs. She also said there is 350 parking spaces available in the whole park but didnt know the exact number in the pavilion area.
No one answered for Ichetucknee Springs so, I'll call tomorrow.

Any other ideas?

Wickham park in Melbourne & Wekiwa Springs in Orlando are both booked for June 26th...we are currently searching for a park or campsite area in Orlando that can house us on June 26th

Anyways, he said he had access to that pavilion in his gated community, so thats currently the #1 option if it fits our needs.

1)It must be within 2hrs of Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, AND Melbourne

Hey, how about Old Town down in Kissimee?
I used to own a Lightning and we had our Florida meet there. It was a great time and we had about 30--50 Lightnings there. I dont really know if there was any cost involved but i can find out if you guys want.

 

That is a good idea. I seen a Vette meet there once.

The only question I have is, could we turn it into a family day there and Bar-B-Q, etc?

Or will we wind up standing around looking at the cars (which I do NOT mind at all) while our wives and girlfriends and kids go and spend ever freakin' dime of our Supercharger Fund since they are bored and there are all those shops right there?

That might turn out more dangerous than having a meet at the food court in the mall.

Unless of course we can Bar-B-Q and detact from the shop area a bit.

I do think it is cool because people will come around and look and compliment alot.

At least my thread has some substance. This thread has gone over 100 posts and accomplished little to nothing. Sounds like a government sponsored event... geesh. At least I was able to set a time, date, and place in the FIRST POST. [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

OK, I just called...next available is July 10th
Details:
$79 to rent the pavilion (includes electricity and water)
-open 8am till sunset
$5 per vehicle (limit 8ppl) for entrance
-the park does close when full but he said this normally wont happen till noon or later and its pretty open before then

Seeing as someone has to put this on credit card or send a check...I would need at least 8 DEFINATE who will pay even if an astroid lands on their house and they cant come.
Is there any chance I can have the orlando crowd (Todd, Dennis, Josh, Ian, Jeff, and Me) split the $80 ($13/each) and then at the event, when we get everyone else's money, get most back???
