he has a point, if there is any uncertainty, we need to set a concrete date. Is

still up for debate. For me Saturday is the only real option. Sunday would be no good, since coming from out of town. So is this the firm date?

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

Josh, yes you can talk to infiniti and post on any g35 sites

It seems Wickham park will work according to Jason. I will call tomorrow and ask some questions to verify.

Saturday June 26, 2004 IS CONCRETE...i just made it that way...CAUSE I CAN!!!
IF Wickham park turns out to be a no-go then we will find another park in Melbourne or Orlando that can house us but for now Wickham park is the location

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

I'm up for inviting 350z people too.
We can tell them to bring the beer.

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

I agree.

Lets make that date (June 26th on Saturday) concrete.

Saturday is a good, fair day.

It would be great if this could become somewhat of a priority in peoples live. Like a car show or event set up by people we did not have contact with.

No one is writing SEMA asking for them to change the date.

Personally I don't care if it was on a wednesday, I would still be there if I could.

Since Wickham Park may be out, how about another option...

I contacted Seaworld and Gatorland (which isn't really big enough anyway.

This will cost some money but it really isn't that bad, especially if we can some kind of support from sponsers.

http://www.centralfloridafair.com/expo/rates.htm

This is the rates page for the Central Florida Fair Grounds... they are a few miles West of I-4 (or is it north) on SR50 (which is also Colonial Dr. to those not familier).

This area has facilities to hold the growth from whatever we decide to do with invites.

We could easily house all of the G's, and the 350Z's, and just about everyone else. This would help get support from Nissan, and maybe draw more sponser support.

Give it a thinking... I would also be willing to roll all the change in my change jar to help out with the down payment.

For the record, that last post was under the assumption that the Pavilions at Wickham Park were all ready reserved.

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

OK, i'll keep that in mind but I think you may be over assuming the turn-out. I hope we can get 50 or 100 Gs there but I doubt it. Next year, maybe, but this year I'm thinking 20-30 at best.
Plus, your hoping to not only get a sponser but get hundreds of dollars in 5weeks. Im not tryin to drown ur parade and by all means persue any and all means u have, but with no "club" setup yet, i doubt u will find a sponser.

Anyways, unless something changes...

June 26th 1:00pm @ Wickham park in Melbourne

-your own food for the grill
-a grill, if u have one
-outdoor entertainment (soccer ball, croquet, volleyball, etc)

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

Since the Miami crew is not showing up in full force, and it's going to be hot as hell at the end of June... Why not a place in Orlando like Rock Springs or Wekiva Springs. These places can hold 20-30 G's easy and they have grills, Picinic Tables and FRESH WATER SPRINGS to swim in. My 2 little girls would love to swim in the springs and splash around.

Just a thought, don't want to de-rail anyone elses hard work. Any other thoughts?

What about ichetucknee springs This would be close for the Jax folks, but then again, I can't imagine my G35 with 4 innertubes strapped to the roof so maybe it's a bad idea.

300bhp??? We'll see... 5-22-2004

ichetucknee springs is a great place. i have been there several times, but i dont know how well it would do for our meet. it was usually pretty crowded when i went.

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

This thread has only been up a couple of days. Not everyone checks it several times a day like most of us. We're still over a month out from the event.

Re: 1st Annual Florida G-out

i would have to agree. Melbourne is only better for the Miami people and if the turnout from there is going to be minimal, we should consider changing the location to somewhere closer for the majority of people who will be attending. Also, it sounds like there is some availablity problem with the melbourne park location.
