Since I don't have Huper, I couldn't tell you, but I did ask about it to both tint places mentioned in the other posts. Both places said that Huper was produced for residential and commercial applications, and that it looked a little odd on a car. That said, neither place carried Huper, nor have I seen a car with it on it. If memory serves me, there is a Huper dealer in Atlanta, but they wanted too much money for their tint ($350+ maybe???)

Solarworks

Does anyone have any experience with Solarworks in Roswell? They quoted $349.00 all around for F1. I have an appointment with them tomorrow, but may not be able to keep it. Thanks.

I have had great luck with Solarworks. If nothing else, they truly stand by their warranty.

got mine done by Danny at Custom Sun (Pinnacle 35) . very great job with no flaws however it's too light even at night for my taste. I'm thinking about getting another layer done at another shop.

I just bought a black/black coupe and was looking to get tint done in the Atlanta area soon. I was wondering how dark I can go without getting bothered by the cops. I had 35% on my previous car and it just didn't seem dark enough. So I wanted to look to you guys to see what your tint is and if you've run into any trouble for it being to dark. Initially I was thinking about doing 25%, but am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks. First, we'd love to have your window tinting business but I'm really not trying to solicit business from the forum. I'm an owner at Custom Sun Control and since I see us referenced in this thread, I thought I'd mention a few things just based on being in this business for around 30 years.

Whoever does your work, Formula One is always the brand I recommend and for any vehicle with a rear window integrated radio antennas, choose the Pinnacle Series.

F1 is the premier automotive product line from the largest window film mfr. in the world and the mfr. requires specific qualifications to participate in this product line, unlike most suppliers that sell film to anyone with little or no qualifications. Consequently, while their is another F1 dealer in the area, you won't see an F1 dealer at the stereo shop or car wash as we are all window film specialists. Get the best material to insure you will be happy with your film choice into the future and it's equally important to make certain the installation is done to have the look of factory tinted glass. That depends completely on the skill level and attention to detail of the installer.

I also strongly recommend to keep within the legal limits for window tinting.
For liability reasons, NO mfr. gives any warranty whatsoever for illegal tinting and typically the folks that will do it illegally are not the skilled installers who take pride in their work and plan on being in the industry long term. Illegally tinted windows are a cop magnet and all the reason in the world to pull you over. Worst case scenario is to be involved in an accident where someone was hurt. Lawyers know to look for illegal tinting as a factor.

Lastly, the old adage is if all things are equal go with the best price, but window film is one of those items where a few additional dollars spent up front can be considered an investment in longevity. With a nice car, your better off with no tint than bad tint at a cheaper price.
