and its a pain calling around to insurance companies on your own... giving the same information over and over again gets tiring after the first 4 calls...

well.. i decided to go with mercury insurance.. didn't see the wawanesa post in time to check them out.. with mercury i'm paying 778/6 months for 100/300/100 - $30 rental - 100 comp/500 coll
i was going to get rental insurance to lower it more but they don't insure if you have a roommate..
on the downside I got hit with a 10% early termination charge from AAA.. i had no choice but to pick them initially because i had AAA in norcal but the socal AAA is separately from norcal.. so when i called to change my address i had no choice but to make a new policy with them.. with socal AAA the premium is $1890/1 year..
I'll check the premiums again in 6 months.. my premium went up ~$500 per year by moving down here.. everything here is so expensive
