Thinking of getting an S2k

I found one really cheap high mileage of course. This will be a dedicated track car can't have Dru, Clint, Jeff and the rest of the gang have all the fun. Oh well it's just a thought not sure yet.

I think S2000's are great cars.

But I'd rather make a G into a dedicated track car; it would be so much more fun, and you still get to enjoy the sleek design of the G, and turn heads

.

S2k for the track sounds like a sweet idea. If you got the means, why not?

i would definitely get an S2k.. im pondering the idea of trading my G in for one.. I've had my G for over a year now... maybe the longest ive owned a car =D but its had for me to give up the G. Then again, a drop top in So Cal would be awesome, especially a S2K.

I did track the G at Laguna Seca. The car is just to damn heavy for the track. I would like to have a car with minimal mods but can tear up the track and pass G's all day long. I love how you can brake at the last possible moment before hitting an apex or corner. This not possible with the G unless you have a BBK. I see S2K's with a stock engine's modded suspension and exhaust are about the only add on they put. Some have R compound rubber so they can get quicker lap times. To me not only is that practical it's also economical.

Believe me I pondered the idea, but there is this "wife" that says otherwise.

Dang man! Your car looked almost as good as mine did burnin' up the track! And before you say it the motor too. But you just needed to hit the throttle a little harder to get some good time around. After riding with Clint was when I got my best time, and blew the motor. Yup, it's all Clints fault. J/K

Later,

Ray

Stealing my idea Glenn? Do it!

S2Ks rule @ the track.
The heft really kills the Gs and Zs.

It is a ton of fun to track the G/Z, but it is more exhilirating doing it in the S yet. I'm in constant reminder of that having to switching bewteen the two at the track.

I would also say the S is by far a better dedicated track machine. It takes less of everything (tire, engine, $$$, ... ) to stay ahead of the G/Z at most tracks.

Still, as a primary commutter that doubles for track duty, I like the extra perks and amenities the G offers.

Ray,
Lies! Mr. Jiffy "no" Lube is to blame.

Seriously mang I should really pull the trigger on this thing. Getting sick and tired of watching from the sidelines.
