Reliable & reasonably priced place to change brake pads?
Hi all, I have an '04 Black G Coupe with the Brembo brakes and at about 27k my brakes have worn down to the point where when I brake I hear a loud grinding sound. I just got my Hawk HPS in the mail yesterday and I'm looking for a recommendation on where I can go to change the pads (I live in the 626, Temple City). I would like a place that is detail oriented and will do all rotor rotating and sanding in addition to simply changing the pads. Anybody in my area know of any trustworthy places? Thanks in advance!

if you can do the pads and resurfacing at a relaxed pace and get it done in two hours, i applaud you. (golf clap)
but please, don't turn this into a contest.
i'm not running Jiffy Lube or MIDAS here.
I run a performance shop.
People pay the shop to take care of their cars and go the extra mile.
(even if it means a little more time)
I think you forgot about one CRUCIAL thing about a brake job: PROPER BEDDING
You can have the best technicians swap out your pads and rotors, but if you have improper bedding it all goes down the toilet.
As you can see, i take everything into consideration.
If i cracked the whip, i could get the rotors and pads done well within 2 hours.
Then give the car back to the customer and let them deal with it.
But some people like the fact i take care of em.
These customers' #1 concern is the same as mine, the final outcome of the car.
My pricing is already better than the competition, my passion is just the icing.

its not a contest, i simply stated that i can complete the job in 2 hours and this is for pretty much any car, so long as i have the pads. relaxed pace is all relative to the person doing the work.
before my partner and i opened a shop i used to work on my car in my own garage at home. with simple hand tools and the local pepboys that still only charges 8 bucks a rotor to resurface and only takes about 30 minutes to do so and about 10-15 to drive there and back. so about 1hr30 minutes left reinstall the 4 rotors, 8 pads, 4 wheels and 20 lug nuts is a pretty relaxed pace, FOR ME.
i agree, bedding in the pads is extremely important as the stop tech bbk test showed but its no rocket science. about anybody can bed in brakes if u tell them what to do, its so easy its not necessary to actually show someone how to do it.
how bout we keep away from personal attacks? i apologize if i may have somehow offended you but that was not my intent
