youre supposed to dry shrink the thicker ceramic film. but they wet shrink it.

you can see the ghost marks when the sun hits your glass at an angle, especially during sunset.
see............

wow that looks really bad. i hope they can get that stuff fixed for you.. knowing cali tint they probably could. i think im heading down to cali tint and getting my car done later next month, waiting for the rain to go away.

i hope your tint goes well.

I don't see why anyone would pick anything other than ceramic, especially with such little price difference, unless they want it super dark.

please post about what you observe of their techniques.
If they install ceramic, they have to be careful not to superheat the film. Or else it will turn out like my car.

Eric, thanks for the 'backup'.

funny thing is everyone seems to love cali tint, but I have been going to Pro Tint up the street across from burger king. Pro Tint does charge more though for their tint jobs. I've gotten two cars tinted their that were done pretty well, but the Clear bra installation was just ehh to me.. It wasn't perfect, which somewhat bothered me considering I paid 500 bucks. Then again I am a perfectionist so I don't know exactly what is a fair Clear Bra install.

We have a local vendor that specializes in clear bra and they do a HELL OF A JOB even on custom cars, seen their work on some fellow G member cars and A++ to them. I'll be taking my car to them as soon as I get some things worked out with the body work =)

anyone know where a shop is up in norcal with these prices? i'd like $110 instead of the $200-399 i've seen around a few shops.

You guys sure the $110 is for the ceramic? There's two displays, top being metallic and bottom being dyed if I remember correctly. The metallic is usually $110 with hookups. I have their metallic tint and everything is normal, calls are fine and navi is fine. I had my tint done over a year ago, so things may have changed...

I'm gonna go get mine done there tomorrow! I had my accord tinted there last year, got 35% tint and after a while felt it was kind of too light. 20% too dark for a IP color coupe?

Price should be 200-220 for good tint and the quality of the service
Yeah, I'm still a bit hesitant to believe a true ceramic tint can be had for $110, especially since I've heard many people paying at least $200 for it. But since I've heard so many good things about this place, I'd might as well give it a try. I read somewhere on this thread earlier that their tint is manufactured by Johnson (haven't heard of this one). Do they carry other brands as well? Someone posted this on another thread about their products (see above).
